This latest edition is a comprehensive and inclusive resource and brings together a great collection of authors, each offering the reader excellent clinical information which will enhance their professional resources.
The Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven Hospital is proud that Dr. Rolf B. Gainer was invited to serve on the panel of distinguished authors for this publication. Dr. Gainer’s chapter on the “Psychosocial Complications of Brain Injury” addresses the psychiatric and neurobehavioral problems which can occur for individuals with brain injuries. “Dual diagnosis” is the term often used to describe people living with a brain injury and a psychiatric or substance abuse disorder which creates many problems for them during and after rehabilitation without specialized professional help. If the medical condition caused due to accident, consulting injured clients with workers compensation is essential to return back into our normal life.
