The Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven Hospital is a fully accredited, inpatient rehabilitation center dedicated to treating individuals with moderate to severe brain injuries and other neurological disorders. We accept individuals over 18 with no upper age limit.
The length of stay at NRI varies from patient to patient and is largely determined by the extent of the injury and the patient’s ability to engage in rehabilitation. The average length of stay is four to six months, but we can also serve patients who require a longer continuum of care.
We accept various types of federal, state, military and private insurance, but because of the differences in individual coverage, we suggest you contact us to determine your eligibility. In the event that you are not covered by insurance, flexible financing may be arranged.

Yes. Because we offer such a unique and dynamic treatment program for brain injuries, we have been able to help individuals from all over the U.S., as well as some individuals from other countries.
Currently, we have 64 inpatient beds in Oklahoma and 27 transitional rehabilitation beds within community settings in Oklahoma and Iowa.
Our patients participate in a full therapeutic, effective daily schedule that consists of group and individual therapies, recreational activities, structured meal time, socialization opportunities and therapeutic activities within the community. Every aspect of the day is utilized to promote rehabilitation and to enhance functional skills leading to independence and a return to community living.
