Move Over Phineas Gage

Eduardo Leite a 24 year old Brazilian construction walked away from a construction site accident in which a 6-foot metal rod fell from a height, piercing his hard hat, entering his skull at the rear and exiting between his eyes. According to reports, Leite remained awake and lucid throughout his ordeal and could not point to any deficits from the event. Phineas Gage, on the other hand, experienced significant personality and behavior changes following his similar accident. Previously a mild-mannered, hard working man,  Gage became argumentative, prone to fighting and suffering from mood swings. The skull of Phineas Gage still resides at the Harvard University School of Medicine.

Neuropsychologists are speculating that Leite is yet to experience personality changes.
