I have come to know Craig Phillips through his blog, Second Chance to Live, as well as through his past contributions to our blog, NeuroNotes.  Craig has much to offer in the way of inspiration to all of us.  He continues to communicate his personal story of living with the effects of a traumatic brain injury sustained when he was a child and his redefining of his life.  In this latest article that he has shared with us, he looks at issues around grief, loss, and eventual acceptance of the significance of his brain injury.  In discussing the process of letting go of his vision of how he thought his life would be, Craig states in the article, “The process of grieving the loss of my dreams, hopes and expectations released me to live in the now. When I let go of how I thought my life was supposed to look my eyes slowly opened to reveal my reality.”
