Dondre Ransom: Marine vet taken out of action with TBI from semi-pro football
A former Marine who served in Iraq is fighting to get back in the game after suffering a severe concussion while playing football for the Sacramento Wildcats. Now, hooked to ventilator and blind, Dondre communicates with eye blinks. He and his wife are the parents of two small children. While Dondre is hospitalized his wife is being treated in Atlanta for her traumatic brain injury suffered while she was deployed in Iraq. This couple is facing with courage a tremendous challenge. Through the work of friends and people like former football player, George Visger, a rally has been scheduled to help Dondre and his family deal with the realities of their enormous problems.
Click here to read the “Draft Day” flyer about a benefit for Dondre on February 7th, 2015, and see how you can provide support and assistance to Dondre and his family. Take a moment to like Dondre’s Support page on Facebook.
