New Technology May Give Those Disabled By TBI a Voice
The effects of traumatic brain injury vary wildly. Some may suffer from headaches and nausea but no last issues, while those who experience moderate to severe traumatic brain injury can experience lifelong disability that manifests in numerous forms.
A fair portion of those disabled from brain injury struggle or are completely unable to speak at least temporarily following their injury.
Now, researchers at the Wadsworth Center have developed technology which gives those who are unable to speak a voice. Arielle Duhaime-Ross got to see the technology first and and document her experience learning to write using just her brain.
